You've Found the Mississippi Dance Show-Down - Mississippi's Premier Country & Western Dance Event!
The Mississippi Dance Show-Down is a qualified American Country Dance Association Dance Event held in May of each year in Gulfport, Mississippi.

The event will held at the Courtyard by Marriott Gulfport Beachfront again in 2010, the event features something for anyone interested in country western, Swing and Hustle dancing, including:

  • Competition dancing for couples, Pro-Am, line dancing and teams
  • 30 hours of workshops featuring dance instruction from the best instructors in the south and midwest
  • Plenty of dance opportunities featuring social dancing throughout the weekend
  • Fun and games for all!

We will be offering a Pre-Newcomer Division at the Mississippi Dance Show-Down this year!

The requirements for this division are as follows:

  1. This division is for “Brand New” dancers!
  2. Hats, boots, and costumes are optional!
  3. There will be NO overalls or placements given!
  4. Judges will give a Medal only!
  5. Please send your registrations in as soon as possible!
  6. Use the form on the website and mark it at the top as Pre-Newcomer!

The Mississippi Dance Show-Down will be Celebrating it's Second Year 2010 of Providing Dancing Excellence. Please make plans today to be with us next year.


It will be the number one goal of our event to ensure that each and every participant - competitors, spectators, students & instructors - enjoy a well-executed quality event. But most of all, we'll show you a GREAT time! When you come to the Mississippi Dance Show-Down, we guarantee that we will put the FUN in country dancing!

We will be offering a weekend full of hot country dance competition (Pro-Am, Couples, Teams & Line Dancing), dance workshops, plenty of chances for open dancing, professional exhibitions and fun & games for all.
